Self - Reflection
Since I started taking this Strategic Communication course at UNIMAS, I've learned a lot, including how to complete assignments, manage my time, conduct reflections, and many other things. But before I understood something about the course I'm taking, I was unsure of my ability to complete it because I get extremely nervous before speaking or giving a speech in front of the class.Since this course is about strategic communication, I should expect to speak more and give a speech in front of the entire class. Being an introvert and shy when in a new environment or around strangers is another factor contributing to my fear. The things that were good and worked well was the fact that I have friends and lecturer that can guide me and make me comfortable to giving speech and be more confident with myself. Moreover, most of our lecturer understand our situations. For example, as a active student in collage I have a lot of things to do which is dancing by night and by day I have assignment that needs to be done and if the lecturer don’t extend the date of the submission I don’t think I can submit it on time but luckily I have classmate that brave enough to asked our lecturer to extend the date submission. I think the reason everything went well is that I do things or work based on what I’m supposed to do and enjoying the course although it can be intense sometime. I learn that when we have a difficulty by doing any assignment in this course is that we need to ask other people that might understand or know how to do it such as we can ask our senior or lecturer, or just to be safe or want some more clear explanation we must ask the person who might have experience it. Also, make an effort to stay in touch with your lecturer so they are aware of how you are progressing through the course. Last but not least, ask for assistance when we feel unsure of our actions. In the next semester, I try my best to do better than this semester and improve what needs to be improve and change myself. I'm confident that this experience will serve as enough motivation to improve.
